About this Issue
Volume XIII, Number 2, October 1983 — a special issue on locative constructions, guest-edited by Jacqueline Leroy of the Université de Yaoundé and John Watters of SIL Yaoundé, and dedicated to the memory of Prof. Jan Voorhoeve. It is organised by group rather than by author — Zone A Bantu, then Grassfields and Ekoid Bantu, then Cameroon Bantu and Proto-Bantu — with a language map, an introduction, a shared questionnaire and a bibliography at the end, so that the papers can be read against one another. Robert Hedinger on Akɔɔse, Marie Anne Boum on Basaa, Keith H. Beavon on Kɔɔzime, John R. Watters on Ejagham, Emmanuel N. Chia on Kom, Leroy on Mankon and on Yamba, Mary Annett on Mundani, and Claire Grégoire on comparative hypotheses for the Bantu languages of Cameroon.
