MOST OF THE ISSUE IS GIVEN TO “INDEPENDENT SOMALI” — an introduction by the Somali poet WILLIAM J. F. SYAD and a dozen articles by Somali writers on pan-Somalism, political parties, nationalism, the role of women and agriculture, most written before independence on 1 July 1960 and first issued in Italian. A loose ERRATUM slip corrects the authorship of “Large Firm — Small Nation” to F. Perroux and R. Demonts. The issue also carries a feature on “Independent Somali”.
