Eboussi Boulaga appear in the philosophy section — Hountondji years before African Philosophy: Myth and Reality. ALI A. MAZRUI writes on “Meaning Versus Imagery in African Poetry” and E. N. OBIECHINA on “Growth of Written Literature in English-Speaking West Africa”; BERNTH LINDFORS on “Achebe’s African Parable”; a short story, “Muzi”, by LEWIS NKOSI; and Lamine Diakhate “De Martin Luther King à Robert Kennedy”, written in the months both were killed. The Palabres section reports the Black Nationalist Cultural Organisation and RON KARENGA. The Document section prints in full the speeches of ALIOUNE DIOP, PRESIDENT LÉOPOLD SÉDAR SENGHOR and Assane Seck to the Second Session of the International Congress of Africanists, Dakar, 11–20 December 1967. The opening editorial, “Pouvoir du Peuple et Révolution de Civilisation”, is written against the student risings of May 1968.
