Vol. 12, No. 4 of Research in African Literatures, published Winter 1982 under the editorship of Bernth Lindfors. Founded in 1970 at the University of Texas at Austin, the journal is the leading scholarly periodical in African literary studies and an official journal of both the African Literature Association and the African Literatures Division of the Modern Language Association.
