Things Fall Apart

Things Fall Apart (1958) is Chinua Achebe's debut novel and the inaugural title of the African Writers Series. Set in the Igbo village of Umuofia in pre-colonial Nigeria, it follows Okonkwo, a respected warrior, through the arrival of European missionaries and colonial administration. It is the most widely read African novel in the world, translated into over 60 languages.
