About this Book
Isaac Asimov’s popular account of the brain and nervous system, copyright 1963, issued as a Mentor paperback (451-MY1431) in a first printing of February 1965 by arrangement with Houghton Mifflin, who published the hardback. Dedicated “To Gloria and William Saltzberg, who guarded the manuscript”. Asimov wrote it during the years he was turning from fiction to science writing, and it belongs to this collection as background reading on the physiology underlying speech and language rather than as linguistics proper.
