Number 7, April 1975. The title page now states that the journal is published three times a year — the schedule promised after the apology printed in Number 4. Esther Terry joins C. L. Innes as assistant editor, and the subscription is quoted in three currencies: nine dollars, three pounds, five naira. The issue carries Part II of Towards the Decolonization of African Literature by Chinweizu, Onwuchekwa Jemie and Ihechukwu Madubuike — the serialised polemic that appeared as a book in 1980 and became one of the most argued-over statements of the period. Around it sit poems by Edward Brathwaite, Dennis Brutus, Sonia Sanchez, Isidore Okpewho and Obiora Udechukwu, fiction by Kofi Awoonor and Yousuf Duhul, reviews including one by Cyprian Ekwensi, and drawings by Nelson Stevens. An insert carried indexes to numbers 4, 5 and 6.
